- Technical information: Information generated when you access our services, such as IP address, browser or device information, request logs, and error information used to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information
We use this information to create and manage your account, store your field notes, display the content you share, provide maps and social features, respond to support requests, send account communications, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing hunts and locations
Published public hunts, associated photos and comments, and public profile information can be viewed by other people. Public map coordinates are rounded to reduce precision; exact hunt coordinates are stored separately. Approximate coordinates, place names, photos, and notes may still reveal a location. Consider what you include before publishing, particularly when recording sensitive hunting spots or private property.
Draft and private hunts are restricted by the service’s access controls. People who can see your shared content may save or redistribute it independently of Duck Hunt.
Service providers and other disclosures
We use service providers to operate the service, including Supabase for authentication, database services, and file storage, and hosting providers to deliver the website and API. These providers process information as needed to perform their services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights or safety of our users and others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of our business, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
Cookies and device permissions
The website uses authentication cookies to maintain your signed-in session. Blocking these cookies may prevent account features from working. Camera, photo library, and location access depend on the features you choose to use and the permissions you grant. You can change permissions through your device settings.
Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and restrictions on private records, to help protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Retention and account deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request account deletion through the app’s account controls or by contacting us. Account deletion removes your account, associated profile, hunt records, social activity, and uploaded media from the active service. Some information may remain in backups or be retained as necessary for security, legal obligations, or resolving disputes.
Your privacy choices and rights
You can update your profile, manage permissions, and choose what content to share. Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents may also have rights to know how personal information is collected and disclosed and to opt out of a sale or sharing where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Children’s privacy
